Everyone love new experiences, and the Whiteface Region is perhaps the best place to find something new to do this summer! Check out the tumbling natural history of the Ausable River at High Falls Gorge, try some locally made cheese, meet some of the area's wildlife, step into history in Jay, or take a scenic drive. There's even a chance you can stop and meet Santa!
The other North Pole
For some fairy tale fun, visit Santa's Workshop! A trip to the Whiteface Region wouldn't be complete without a visit to the timeless fantasy village located in the North Pole, NY. Open June through December, Santa's Workshop has been a family tradition since 1949; it's the oldest theme park in the United States. Home to beloved fairy tale and storybook characters, busy elves, live reindeer, and Santa himself, the North Pole experience is one you won't soon forget.
Adirondack Wildlife Refuge
The Adirondack Wildlife Refuge sits on 50 acres of beautiful land alongside the Ausable River. Visit to see wolves, birds, foxes, and other creatures. The refuge rehabs animals and educates visitors on their ecology. There are also two-miles of educational trails on the property.
