Attractions in the Adirondacks

Whiteface Mountain

Summer and fall bring fun at Whiteface Mountain including dining on the deck and all of the mountain biking you can imagine. The gondola is also open for a fun 10-15 minute ride to the top of Little Whiteface. Enjoy a drive up the Whiteface Mountain Veterans' Memorial Highway and visit the iconic castle. Bring lunch and a camera and take in incredible views paired with a cool mountain vibe.

In the winter, don't pass up the opportunity to ski and snowboard Whiteface Mountain - voted the #1 ski resort in the Eastern U.S. by Ski Magazine readers. Whiteface boasts the highest vertical drop east of the Rockies. Eleven lifts service 90 trails with 288-acres of skiable terrain for all skill levels. Come explore the Olympic mountain and revel in the views of the surrounding High Peaks.

The other North Pole

For some fairy tale fun, visit Santa's Workshop! A trip to the Whiteface Region wouldn't be complete without a visit to the timeless fantasy village located in the North Pole, NY. Open June through December, Santa's Workshop has been a family tradition since 1949; it's the oldest theme park in the United States. Home to beloved fairy tale and storybook characters, busy elves, live reindeer, and Santa himself, the North Pole experience is one you won't soon forget.

Visit High Falls Gorge

Take a moment and a camera to enjoy this breathtaking 30 minute self-guided walk while viewing the four splendid waterfalls at High Falls Gorge. Enjoy hiking the maintained paths in all seasons. Once you've worked up an appetite, grab a table at the River View Cafe for lunch or dinner with a scenic view.
