Drive or ride up the historic Whiteface Veterans’ Memorial Highway taking you to the top of New York’s fifth-highest peak at 4,867 feet. At the top, be sure to check out the Castle Café and Gift Shop for great views, local bites, souvenirs and more. To reach the Summit you’ll hike the fifth-of-a-mile-long Alpine Nature Trail to enjoy truly spectacular 360-degree panoramic views of the Adirondacks, New England and Canada. A visit to the Adirondacks is not complete without a trip to the top!
Please note: The Nature Trail climb can be steep and slippery, so proper footwear is essential. The Nature Trail to the Summit is not wheelchair accessible.
This activity and many others are included with your purchase of an Olympic Sites Passport!
Stay tuned at Whiteface Veterans Memorial Highway for more information on the schedule for the upcoming Summer 2019 Season!
