Winter Events | Whiteface Mountain

Ski season has kicked in and the entertainment at Whiteface Mountain has begun. There are events on the hill and off the hill. Something for everyone, even non-skiers.

See the World's Best Compete on their way to the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi

One of the biggest events on hill this winter is the USANA FIS World Cup Freestyle. The moguls competition takes place on Whiteface Mountain's Wilderness Trail on January 15 bright and early at 8:30 a.m. with finals taking place at 1:30 pm.  This is the last of the World Cup series races before the Sochi Games begin on February 7.  The Olympic team selections will be determined directly after this World Cup. And, if you’re staying in the Whiteface Region during World Cup weekend, don’t miss the aerials competition on Saturday, January 18 at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid.

Live Music at Whiteface All Season Long

Whiteface Mountain has a lineup of weekend live entertainment known as “Rock the Face” in the Cloudspin Lounge scheduled for the entire winter. Normally on Saturdays throughout the season and on other special event days, you’ll be rocked by some of the finest regional bands in the Northeast.

Save, Save, Save

Super Sundays are on the calendar on January 5, February 2, March 16 and April 6. Deeply discounted lift tickets are offered each of these dates, along with a themed party in the Cloudspin Lounge apre-ski, with drink specials and drawings for great prizes.

US College Ski & Snowboard Championships

Early March will bring on the US College Ski & Snowboard Championships at Whiteface. Running from March 8th through the 16th, some of our finest college skiers from across the country will vie for top national championship spots in skiing and riding.
