Are you ready to experience the beauty of nature and boost your confidence in the outdoors? Join CATSWomen, a volunteer-led group dedicated to empowering women of all ages and abilities, for a scenic hike in the stunning Jay Mountain Wilderness in Jay, New York. This welcoming environment, supported by Champlain Area Trails, is perfect for building friendships and enhancing outdoor skills.
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, July 14
- Hike Location: Out-and-back trail in Jay, New York
- Trail Distance: 8 miles
- Difficulty Level: Hard, not for beginner hikers.
- Estimate Duration: Approximately 6 hours
Hiking Experience:
The hike will be about 8 miles round trip and involve rocky, exposed ridgeline hiking. The summits are a twofer, with a western and an eastern one. They are joined by an extraordinary "highway in the sky" for abundant views from many angles.
