Join Essex County Suicide Prevention and the Hope Offering Support Team Coalitions on June 6, 2026 at 10:00a.m. for a fun day at The Village Green in Jay, NY. Whether you’re up for the 5k or just the 1 Mile Color Fun Run, it’s all about good vibes, bright colors, and great company. Bring your friends, get colorful, and enjoy a lively, in-person event that’s perfect for all ages. Don’t miss out on the fun and the chance to make some awesome memories!
This is a family friendly event to help bring awareness to suicide prevention. This year's theme is focused on honoring connection and community. Rates of suicide in Essex County have lowered over the past 10 years and we have reason to celebrate - and one is still too many. So come join us because...you are not alone!!
There is a 1 mile course and a 5k course. Each course will include several color stations where participants will be covered with non-toxic, biodegradable colored powder. The race will start and end at The Village Green. Unlike traditional color fun run events, we are encouraging participants to wear ALL BLACK. Our theme this year is to visually depict the transition from one feeling in the dark and alone to realizing they have a whole community behind them for support to blossom into a beautiful life. Participants will start with all black, empty canvases and end the race covered in colored powder and very vibrant. Feel free to accessorize with brightly colored flair!
Registration fee includes a black T-shirt (while supplies last).
Ticket prices:
- One Mile Walk/Run - Single - $15.00 (early registration*)
- One Mile Group of 4 or more - $10.00 per person (early registration*)
- 5k Walk/Run - Single - $20.00 (early registration*)
- 5k Group of 4 or more - $15.00 per person (early registration*)
- Day of registration - $25.00 for all categories
- Children 5 years old and under are FREE
*Early registration ends at 5:00 am on June 6.
After the Walk/Run
Many organizations will show their support of the cause by tabling. After the run, enjoy live music, food and a basket raffle on The Village Green until 2:00p.m.
