About the Event
Formerly known as the I Love New York BBQ Fest, the event was founded by Dmitry, a well-known and deeply respected member of the Lake Placid community, in the names of Feld and Tom Shipman, a former Lake Placid police officer who created the Shipman Youth Center. Dmitry’s passion for bringing people together—especially in support of local children—remains at the heart of this event. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit continues through Feast of the Peaks, celebrating community, connection, and giving back.
