21st Annual Christmas in the Forks 

An old fashion Yuletide celebration in downtown Au Sable Forks! Always the first weekend in December, this year's event falls on Saturday, December 6. 

Schedule of Festivities:

• 10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Christmas in the Forks Kick-Off Event at the Au Sable Forks Library. Features Merriloons the Clown, Julie Jingles, arts and crafts, face painting, holiday music, a holiday book reading, and hot chocolate and cookies.

  • Note: The Library is also selling tickets for its Festival of Wreaths fundraiser through Dec. 6.

• 10:00 am – 2:00 pm:

  • Vendor Fair at the Town of Jay Community Center (sponsored by the Town of Jay).

  • Cindi Murphy Memorial Toy Drive and Bake Sale at the Town of Jay Community Center Vendor Fair.

  • Make-Your-Own-Wreath Workshop ($25) at the Garden Inn (13100 Route 9N, Jay).

• 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Free Cookie-Decorating Event hosted by the Au Sable Forks Ambulance Department at the ambulance garage.

• 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Cindi Murphy Memorial Toy Drive and Bake Sale relocates to be in front of Lance’s Pizza and Brew.

• 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm: Holiday Music by Mary Byrd at 20 Main Tavern.

• 5:50 pm: All roads leading to the judges’ stand close to traffic for pedestrian-only access.

• 6:00 pm: Christmas in the Forks Holiday Light-Up Parade. Starts at the softball field on Church Lane and ends at the Town Clock Park, followed by the Community Tree Lighting at the clock tower and a Fireworks Display.

• After Fireworks, Santa and Mrs. Claus meet children at the Town of Jay Community Center.

• & don't miss the Ugly Sweater Contest at 20 Main Tavern.

Continuing the Celebration on Sunday, December 7

Holiday events continue on Sunday. From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Garden Inn will host a Make-Your-Own Kissing-Ball Workshop ($25). At 11:00 am, a Holiday Paint and Sip with Jessie ($25) will take place at the Tahawus Lodge on Main Street.
