MANAGE YOUR PREFERENCES

For bridge and river fans! For cyclists, these gently rolling hills are not as challenging as other routes, since they follow the river and the farming valleys. No matter how you travel this route, you'll enjoy the scenery.

LENGTH: 18.5 mile loop. For a shorter trip, take the Carey Road turn off from 9N.

DIRECTIONS: Start at the famous Jay Covered Bridge and take County Highway 9R to John Fountain Road, picking up Route 9N on the river side, with its gorgeous views and pull-off opportunities. Take the right over the river to County Highway 9S/Stickney Bridge Road, taking a right onto North Jay Road, past the North Jay Cemetery. Take North Jay Road to the south back to the covered bridge.
