Cycling

Test yourself on the Ironman Bike Loop. Cruise the hills of three towns. Real Ironmen and Ironwomen do this twice!

LENGTH: 56 mile loop. DIRECTIONS: Take Route 73 south out of Lake Placid, past the Cascade Lakes and down the infamous Keene Hill. Turn left on Route 9N north to Jay and left on Route 86 to Wilmington and Lake Placid. For a break from the main road, take a left onto River Road and then a right on Route 73 by the ski jumps.

Scenic Drive

The Ironman Bike Loop is also a scenic drive! Cruise the hills of three other towns. Follow the Ausable River. Experience the gorgeous Cascade Lakes.

Approximate travel TIME 2.5 hours. LENGTH: 56 mile loop.
