Tahawus Cultural Center offers an art gallery, a dance studio, and a community gathering space used by business associations and other civic entities, as well as being available as rental spaces. The Center serves as a creative pillar in the Whiteface Region Community where one can explore creative pursuits, learn about, and appreciate the creativity of others.
The Art Gallery features a broad range of group exhibits highlighting local and visiting artists. It also hosts Hand-On Workshops offering a variety of art-based workshops to keep you creative and inspired! From outdoor cell phone photography to line dancing, there is something for everyone! Cloudsplitter Dance Studio hosts activities in Ballet, Ballroom, Choreography Projects, Adult Barre Class, as well as NIA and Qi Gong classes. The Studio is located on the 3 rd fl of the Tahawus Center.
Choreographer/Instructor Rebecca Kelly offers private instruction in contemporary dance and choreography projects for teens/adults. Set up a flexible individual (or shared) schedule for tune ups, troubleshooting, choreography, student projects, performance and audition coaching, or just dance for the health, grace, and fun of it!
