About

Collecting, preserving, displaying and interpreting the documents, photographs and artifacts that tell the unique story of how the people of this remote, mountainous small town with big ideas have adapted and survived in the harsh yet beautiful environment of the Adirondacks. Located on Springfield Road, the Wilmington Historical Society is open for researchers on the 3rd Tuesday of the month during the summer from 10 am - 2 pm, as well as all year by appointment by calling Karen Peters at 946-7586 or Merri Carol Peck at 946-7627. Research materials available include family history files, newspapers, cemetary records, plus town, church and school records, and so much more.
