As we bounce from winter into Spring in the Whiteface Region, the days get longer and the sun shines brighter and warmer on Whiteface Mountain, just in time for that long awaited season of Spring skiing!
Whiteface Mountain Spring Fest offers up lots of fun activities and entertainment every weekend from February 28 right through the end of ski season in mi-April. Races and themed weekends with trivia contests and some of the finest regional bands will keep you entertained after your legs give out on the slopes.
From March 11 - 14 Whiteface Mountain and St. Lawrence University play host to NCAA Division I Ski Championships for the first time in 32 years. Don’t miss these alpine events at the mountain, when some of our sure to be up and coming Olympians will be burning up the slalom, giant slalom and downhill courses. You’ll be sure to see some of the best ski racing in the country during that week (the nordic portion of the event will take place at Mt. Van Hoevenberg Cross Country Center and the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid).
Whiteface will also participate in Adirondack Maple Weekend on March 28 and 29. Celebrating the Spring maple sap flowing and all things maple, Whiteface joins in with maple tastings, races and family activities as part of this weekend of Adirondack Maple Fest and Spring Fest all rolled into one weekend. Don’t miss those free maple samples at “the mountain”!
There are lots more events coming up so be sure to look at the entire events schedule!
