Wilmington, N.Y. - The Whiteface Mountain Regional Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce the addition of a Kids Fun Run as part of the 37th Annual Whiteface Mountain Uphill Foot Race on September 13, 2014.
With a pace car featuring Santa, the Kids Fun Run will begin at the same location but 15 minutes after the Uphill Foot Race start, which occurs at 8 a.m. The race is approximately 1.5 miles and ends at Santa’s Workshop, where participants will enjoy breakfast at Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard Restaurant. All participants in the Kids Fun Run will receive a Reindeer Shoe medal.

The popular 8-mile uphill race to the top of the fifth highest mountain in New York state is part of the 11th Annual Festival of the Colors, a family-friendly celebration of fall in the Adirondacks that will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.
