Make your holidays merry and bright in Lake Placid this December!

A Lake Placid tradition, the Holiday Village Stroll is a family and couples weekend set in the fairy-tale winter wonderland of Lake Placid, New York. Stroll spans three days and includes events like a skating party, photos with Santa, free movie showing, and a Santa firetruck parade.

Friday, December 9

HOLIDAY WINE TASTING | 3PM-6PM

Start Stroll weekend off with wine tasting at Terry Robards Wine & Spirits!

SKATING PARTY AT THE 1932 RINK | 5PM-6:30PM

Join us at the Olympic Center 1932 Rink for a family skating party! There will be skate rentals available onsite. Some little elves also told us that Santa might make an appearance!

LIVE MUSIC | 6-9PM

Join Generations for their live music series featuring Jae Dani

UGLY SWEATER PARTY | 6-9PM

Grab your ugliest sweater and head over to The Cottage to win a prize!

CRAFT COCKTAILS AND CANDLES – HOLIDAY EDITION | 5:30pm

This holiday inspired experience includes a candle pouring workshop at Pure Placid plus a craft cocktail class. You will end this experience with a a candle and a cocktail (or mocktail if you prefer)! This offers an opportunity to create lasting memories.

ADIRONDACK HEALTH JINGLE BELL RUN/WALK | 8:30AM

Help support the Fit for Life Scholarship Program! This 2.5 mile run/walk starts at the Public Beachouse and loops around Mirror Lake. Don’t forget to wear your best holiday costume for a chance to win a prize!

TIKTOK DANCE CLASS – BEGINNERS CLASS | 10AM

Back for another year! Come learn some popular TikTok dances with our friends from EMERGE125! This class is great for beginners and will be held at Pure Placid.

HOLIDAY CRAFT & VENDOR FAIR | 10AM – 2PM

Put together by the Adirondack Community Church. Free Admission.
Featuring local crafts, handmade jewelry, Trades of Hope, and many more. Hot chocolate and homemade treats available for a donation.

HOLIDAY STORY TIME | 11AM

Join us at St. Eustace Church for singing and storytime! The one and only Julie Jingles will get the party started by singing some Christmas favorites. The reading of The Grinch will follow.

VISIT OLAF | 11AM-3PM

Stop in to Little Blue House and get your photo with Olaf! He will be handing out candy canes and blue glowsticks!

SANTA’S ARRIVAL | 12PM

Get ready to welcome the big guy himself! Santa and his elves will arrive by firetruck to Mid’s Park where they will stop and take photos.

SANTA AT MID’S PARK | 12PM-1:30PM

Stop by Mid’s Park, say hi to Santa, and get your photo taken! Don’t forget to bring your letters to Santa!

CRAFT TIME | 1:30-3:30PM

In-person crafts are back this year! Stop by St. Agnes to join in the fun and make something festive!

MAKERS MARKET | 2PM-5PM

The Maker’s Market to benefit The North Elba Christmas Fund will be held in the Alpine Mall on Main Street. Stop in to enjoy free samples of locally produced products in this Open Air Farmer’s Market style event. This is the perfect opportunity to get a taste of the region and bring home something special for the holidays!

The North Elba Christmas Fund recommends donating the following items: toys, toiletries(toothbrushes, soap, socks, etc), and gift cards

TIKTOK DANCE CLASS – EXPERIENCED CLASS | 3:30PM

Class number two – great for those who have a little more skill and TikTok knowledge. Come dance with our friends from EMERGE125! This class will also be held at Pure Placid.

TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION | 5PM

Join us in Mid’s Park as we light the tree and sign carols!

DOUBLE AXEL AT THE LAKE HOUSE | 5-8PM

The tradition continues! Let the jingle bells rock and the good times roll at the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll when Double Axel takes the stage at Lake House.

NAUGHTY & NICE PARTY | 7PM

This 21-and-Up party invites you to bring out the naughty and nice side of the holiday season. Whether you plan on being Naughty or Nice, bring your holiday spirit to PJ’s at the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery on December 10th. Prizes for the best costumes will be awarded!

Sunday, December 11

POLAR EXPRESS AT THE PALACE THEATRE | 11AM

The annual matinee of The Polar Express is back! Put on your comfy holiday pajamas and head down to the Palace Theatre for an 11am showtime. The first 200 children (under the age of 12) will receive a special gift!

Masks are recommended (unless seated and eating/drinking.) The Palace Theatre is graciously sponsoring the show, so please help us and follow all their current guidelines. Popcorn and drinks will be available.

SANTA SUNDAY | ALL DAY

The Santa Ski is back! Wear a FULL Santa Costume and get a free lift ticket. Must be in full costume and go to the Whiteface ticket window to receive your lift ticket.

SANTA’S FIRE TRUCK PARADE | 4PM

Santa and his elves love looking at the lights! They will be joining the Lake Placid Volunteer Fire Department again this year for a trip around Lake Placid to see all the lights, and of course all the good boys and girls in our amazing community!

Weekend Long Events:

SCAVENGER HUNT: 

While you’re strolling down Main Street, take the time to hunt for the hidden holiday symbols in select businesses’ windows. For a chance to win a prize, fill out and submit a form online, or pick one up from the Visitor’s Bureau and drop the completed form in Santa’s mailbox at Mid’s Park. There will be one winner picked for each of the following age groups; 13 and under, 14-20, and 21+.

CRAFT KITS

If you don’t have time to join Crafts at St. Agnes on Saturday, stop by the Visitors Bureau and pick up a kit to take home with you. These craft kits will include everything you need to make a fun and festive holiday craft. Don’t forget to show us your finished project on social media!

WOOD CARVING

Woods Edge will be demonstrating their wood carving outside Adirondack Decorative Arts and Crafts throughout the weekend. Stop by and watch the magic happen!
