Esther Mountain
This mountain is named for the fifteen year old girl who was the first to climb it in 1839, and the first ascent of an Adirondack High Peak credited to a woman, at a time when this was only the eighth peak ascended.

It is an intriguing mountain with its own unique natural features including fir waves (which only occur one other place in the world) and a fine glacier cirque.
